Baggage cars are an essential component of mid-to-long distance trains as they offer the necessary space for storing passenger luggage. Many of Amtrak's "heritage" baggage cars, acquired in the 1970s, are even older than Amtrak itself, showcasing their durable construction and ongoing usefulness. All details are pre-installed in the factory for convenience.

The inclusion of metal weights provides a realistic weight and momentum to the baggage cars. Additionally, optional Kinematic couplers are included to allow for authentic close coupling while still being able to navigate through tight radii.
